Christina Kennedy

FOUNDER & WEDDING OFFICIANT

On Point Officiant founder Christina Kennedy has been performing personalized wedding ceremonies since 2016.

As a California-based English professor, Christina brings the power of language and creative storytelling to every celebration. She holds a Master of Arts in English from CSU Fullerton and has an academic background in composition, literature, and rhetoric. A seasoned wordsmith, Christina is known for her warm presence, sharp wit, and ability to craft ceremonies that feel both intentional and unforgettable. Her work as an educator centers on helping students discover how language can resonate, inspire, and move people, which is an ethos she carries into every wedding she officiates.

When not officiating weddings, Christina enjoys all things gothic and cultic, roller skating, martial arts, and 90s alternative music. She also firmly believes that optimism and iced coffee make the world go ’round.

Emily Babette Gross

WEDDING OFFICIANT

Emily Babette Gross has been bringing her unique blend of creativity, warmth, and artistry to wedding ceremonies since 2024.

Emily is a Canadian-born interdisciplinary artist and California community college professor. With a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from UC Irvine, her artistic range spans painting, video, sculpture, stained glass, music, and installation. Her work, deeply rooted in craftsmanship and the handmade, reflects a thoughtful, expressive practice. Her latest creative endeavor is a musical collaboration with her husband, Brent, in their gothic electronic band, Chateau Noir.

Whether officiating weddings, teaching drawing techniques, creating stunning visual art, or making music, Emily brings intention, heart, and a spark of originality to everything she does.

Christina with On Point Officiant was phenomenal as the officiant for our intimate elopement in the the California desert! As first-time travellers to Cali from Canada, Christina met with us on video ahead of time and offered helpful information about the area and possible vendors. She curated the most beautiful personalized and exceptionally-articulated vows for our day, formed from a detailed questionnaire both my husband and I filled in about a month beforehand. Christina was truly amazing for our wedding on Halloween! She asked all the right questions and tailored the script to our vibe as a couple. We are very laid back fun people and she went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable. Christina also was very accommodating with some of our requests like having my daughter bring up our rings, she included my daughter in the script and made her feel special as well. There aren’t enough positive words I can say about Christina, I’m so so grateful to have found her to be our officiant!

Christina was an absolute dream to work with!! We planned our wedding remotely, and so we, of course, had some anxiety about how it would all finally come together on the big day.
